We have a stainless steel sink in the kitchen, but a plastic sink and a plastic toilet in the bathroom.
What does everyone use to clean these surfaces? We notice that the shell begins to color.

It's not the smart thing. Not every dish soap is good for plastic or stainless steel.

I guess you don't need a lot of money to clean the plastic sink. I was suggested using a mix of white vinegar and water. Adding baking soda for extra-tough stains would be also a good move as this combination of products is very good at cleaning plastic things. Just avoid hard-bristle brushes that can potentially scratch the sink surface. I'd also recommend visiting https://procleaninglondon.co.uk/areas/haringey to get additional info about plastic cleaning. They have some practical articles about that.
