before i try to start it. It is either a Farmall Super M or a Super H i
cant remember. Whats best to use? Diesel, trans fluid, or a spray lube?

Usually, it's hard to bring an old tractor to life. Try to lubricate the cylinders, maybe it will help.

I think this guy gave you this old tractor because he got tired of messing around with it. This requires a lot of money, nerves and time. Of course, you can lubricate the cylinders and see what happens, but I would advise you to sell it or scrap it. Instead, buy a new garden tractor that would not spoil your nerves and work well. Recently, I did the same, just handed over my old tractor and bought a new one. Previously, I looked at the review about the best garden tractors, as I needed a good, new and hardy tractor, since I do a lot of work with it.
