SALT LAKE CITY-A couple who police say were warned several times about camping restrictions due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 was arrested Wednesday in Grand County.<br><br>Robert John Letterman, 56, and Joy Letterman Featherstone, 55, were arrested on charges of violating a health care ordinance, stealing a car and drug possession.<br><br><br>When deputies contacted Letterman on Wednesday, it turned out that he “was in the camp on a white F-150. It should be noted that Letterman admitted that he was warned about illegal camping by several employees, " the police said in a written statement.<br><br>Deputies offered to give Letterman a ride from the bike path back to his truck. When they got there, deputies checked the car's records and found that it was registered as stolen, according to the affidavit.<br><br>"Letterman stated that the car was rented in California and was originally supposed to be returned in the first week of March,” the affidavit says.<br><br>Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the car. Letterman and Featherstone, who, according to police, were also in the car, were arrested.<p><br></p>

<p>Yeah. That's a sad story. I'm sorry that camping was turned into such a vacation. To me, camping is the best part of my life, and I would never let my vacation history end this way. For me, it's an opportunity to take the plunge into the world of sports camping. I can comfortably and smoothly learn important camping skills: plan my route, choose camping spots, choose the right clothes and gear, know how to cook outside, and more.
