The thing that makes football so different from other sports is that you can't rely on one position. In basketball, you have one good player and a couple other decent players, you have a winning season and a shot at. play off berth. also in basketball, the thing I hate is how no matter the position, you are still doing the same thing as everyone else. You are just trying to score points. In football, Only a handful of people score. There is no comparison to an offensive lineman to any other sport, because there is no other position where you will never succeed without having a good one, but having good ones does nothing to guarantee success. Football is also so unique because when you are on offense, your entire goal is to score. You can do so many things right but if you make one tiny mistake, you lose everything and probably the game. In basketball, you get so many second chances. If you are trying to comeback and do everything right except for one little thing on a play, you are completely fine. You get the ball back right after. AND you basically keep your progress right where you left it. Also, there is no other sport where special teams exist. Special teams is arguably the most unique thing about football because any player can contribute and make a name for themselves(Matthew Slater) without being a star player.
