It is not the simple question. Every model of riflescope can last for different period of time. There are some positions to answer it. If to speak about the manufacturers' guarantees the average term is about 7-15 years. Pay attention that for the night vision riflescopes these terms are 2-5 years. But if to speak about real situation everything is closely connected with the conditions of use and the accuracy of user. One of the previous answerers wrote that he use riflescope mounted in May or June 1940. Moreover; there are cases when high quality models are being operated for about 100 and more years!
