Olympus 35RC rangefinder adjustment

Hello All,

My 35RC rangefinder is mis-aligned at infinity. Not a problem when focusing all the way out but a big problem at close focus as the rangefinder is fooling me into focusing closer than the lens allows. My negatives show this is happening.

I know the horizontal adjustment is behind a small screw above the film transport rail. Can anyone tell me what size screwdriver do I need for the deeper alignment screw? I'd like to have the tools ready when I attempt this.

Hey, man. I'll help you find the way of solving your problem. It goes without saying, that good accessory of this type should help to hunt, but not to make it more difficult, than it's without it. I mean, that it's better to throw your Olympus 35RC and to buy wonderful range finder, which has an effective range up to 1,500 yards (depends on of the model), and after being connected with your phone and Smart HD scope, can adjust the reticle in only five seconds. So, you will know, that it's better to buy a good accessory from the beginning, then to suffer with bad one.
