I applied for a passport renewal back in February and was told the process would take about 4 weeks, which was fine because my Canadian fishing trip was scheduled for the end of June. Now, 3 months later, my updated passport has not arrived yet.

Calling the US State Department, I was told that processing applications could take up to 7 MONTHS due to delays related to Covid. So even if the Canadian border opens on June 21, as currently scheduled, I probably won't be able to go there without a valid passport.

I just wanted to warn those of you who might be in the same boat as me.

My grandmother left Sydney in March 1931 for England (having married my grandfather, who was British, two days before). I'm not sure if she will therefore have travelled under an Australian passport or under a British passport (as his wife)? Does anyone know?

In addition, does anyone know if passport records from that era were kept (and still exist)? I've been asked to provide details of her passport as proof of Australian citizenship (in order for my father, her son, to obtain Australian citizenship), but I think this seems a bit of a long shot! Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

First of all, this is a scam. Secondly, it can lead to irreversible consequences. Third, it is dangerous to your life. It seems to me that this is a very dubious sale, since at first you can get money, and after you they can find and write a huge fine or even go to jail. It seems to me that no one needs such a fate, so I advise you to refuse this offer. People also do not see themselves as data fraud, as you can simply lose money and get nothing. It is better to turn to passportinfoguide.com where you can get advice on creating a passport.
