PBS

Some argue that PBN links should not be built from the very beginning, but should be built sparingly and a few months after the site is created.

I decided to test this theory in practice. I built 2 new local lead generation sites on fresh domains. I let one site sit for a few months before dropping the PBN links while the other I immediately built the link:

Plot 1:

This site was left sitting for a few months. No link building has been done before. 10 PBN links were built within 20 days.

8 were sent to the home page, 5 were empty URLs, 1 was the exact keyword I was trying to rank (about 200 searches per month), and 2 links were similar keywords.

What Are The Results? About 2-3 weeks after the last link was deleted, the keyword moved from position 70 to position 13.

In the following weeks, the keyword stabilized and settled at around 15.

Plot 2

It was a brand new site. No links were created before. I sent 1 exact match anchor to the home page, the keyword I was trying to rank had about 300 searches per month.

What Are The Results? The keyword went from nowhere to position 30 ish.

The rating is still stable.

Sometimes you need to do your own testing to see what works and what doesn't. When it comes to links, it's about quality, not quantity. There are risks associated with PBN.

YES AND PA:

Some people spend too much time studying competitors ' DA & PA metrics and then feel stressed about whether they can compete or not. I don't take these metrics into account and still outperform sites with higher DA and PA. Why? Because these indicators are meaningless.

news release:

Some say they are no longer effective or just a waste of time.

I tested it on 3 sites.

Plot 1:

Links were built earlier, but no keywords were ranked. The last links were built about 2 months before the PR. I sent a press release with the anchor brand name to 4 city pages. I basically added URLS inside the press release and used the brand anchor. 2 more links were sent to the home page.

All the keywords I was aiming to rank for each of these pages popped up in the top 60 out of nowhere. Note that I used brand name anchors here, no keywords, but all the keywords jumped.

Plot 2:

The keyword ranked around 7. the links were built earlier, but the last link was about a month ago. Empty url in the press release. The site jumped to position 3.

Section 3:

This was done in order to rank the Google My business list. Brand new website. This PR was released along with the construction of quotes. Quotes would also give a boost.

After the PR listing, GMB was ranked in the top 3 in the map package. It was only there for a week or so before it fell out again.

So here are some of the tests I've done to see what works for my sites.

What did you guys find doing your local seo? What works for you?
