A photography studio should be spacious and creative. Creative in a sense like there has to be some creativity on the walls an environment. It is not necessary to be a big place. There should be at least one permanent background and a set of lightings. A professional DSLR camera and Lenses are must. Some other equipment like tripod, shades, external flash, backdrop should also be there at a good photography studio.

Check Color fusion photo studio, it located in Dania Beach, Florida. Their photographers are really professionals with big experience and also they have all necessary equipment and industry-leading studios. They made great photo session for my modeling portfolio!
