Sonic Academy proudly welcomes Nate Raubenheimer, known as Protoculture, in order to take a look at another type of genre and we will look at how to make a hybrid orchestra. Moving away from his usual tracks, Nate leads us from start to finish in creating this epic and epic masterpiece using both EastWest Play and NI Kontakt orchestral sections.

We will begin by reviewing the pattern and how to tune the different parts in your DAW, and create an initial sketch for some solo voices before breaking the MIDI chord sequence into separate string sections.
Using constantly changing automation lines to create realistic expressiveness, we add sections of brass and leading lines along with orchestral percussion elements to help with transitions. After the orchestral sections are completed, we apply synthesizers, pads and arps to create a sound wall before mixing the track and start mastering.
This is a master class on the use of orchestral elements in a digital environment. Tips and tricks that Nate will show us can be transferred to all kinds of genres.
