Not at all. While search algorithms and ranking factors are constantly changing, the general consensus within the SEO community is that the relevance, trustworthiness, and authority that effective off-page SEO affords a website still play a major role in a page's ability to rank. While we don't know the full algorithm Google uses to rank content, data from our Search Engine Ranking Factors study show that off-site SEO-related factors likely carry more than 50% of the ranking factor weight.

As for me, it matters as much as before because off-site SEO indeed works and helps to rank higher on Google. As we all know, building backlinks is at the heart of off-page SEO and this is remaining a well-known method used by SEO companies like GMU online and not only, in building a great SEO campaign. So it's still there, it's still working and it's not going anywhere soon. Digital marketing is steadily growing and off-site SEO the same, I think. If you have plans on doing that and you have doubts, I tell you, you have nothing to worry about.
