Since January 1, VAT of 5% has been imposed on almost everything in Saudi Arabia. Without any prior warning, the municipalities of Mecca and Medina imposed 5% on 4-and 5-star hotels and 2.5% on all other places of accommodation for pilgrims from February 14. This has a very big impact on Hajj packages, but it also has an impact on Umrah tours. Those who have not yet travelled should be prepared to pay the new fees on arrival at the accommodation you have booked.<p><br></p>

<p>Additional fees will never stop someone who really wants to be somewhere. This is a very important point in their life. I'm going to visit Saudi Arabia in the future, and I won't be deterred by the extra fees. In addition, if everything is at the highest level in the hotel, you don't even want to pay attention to such things. My family and I had a holiday break that week and the kids wanted to have a great time on Halloween night. I looked through <a href="https://www.westgateresorts.com/hotels/hhn/">Westgate's Halloween Horror Nights hotel deals</a> and found the perfect hotel. The kids were just as excited as we were.</p>
