Driving test? - RichardSmithe - 07-19-2021

Just a random thought about how bad today's drivers are and how to fix it.
I think that every 5 years, in order to renew your license, you must take a written test and take an 85+ exam, and every 10 years you must take a written and driving test.
How many 50-year-olds remember all the rules of the road?
I'm just tired of people slowing down to turn and then turning on the turn signal on the turn. It should be a flashing light, and then the brakes, and not the other way around.
How about when you should stop for an emergency vehicle on the opposite side of the road?
The safest way to save roads is for people to stop using mobile phones, but I believe that this would also help.
Does anyone agree? Don't you agree?

I think it's hard to take an exam every 5 years. Everyone understands it.

Indeed, it is expected that a person may forget some insignificant nuances from the textbook after many years. But no one forgets what a traffic light, speed limit, and car signaling devices are. People will pass the exam, and maybe even all the answers to the questions will be correct. But after when they go out on the road again, they will not observe them as before. There is a particular defensive driving course online for people who want to ride safely and freely. But in reality, it is difficult to raise the general level of awareness of the population without extreme measures.
