Online payment - AngelaJohnston - 08-25-2021

My contactless debit cards seem to stop working after a while. Not for any reason related to the account, just a functional failure. My AmEx card degraded quite slowly, there were several stores where it continued to work long after it was not recognized in all the others.
I'm curious what might be going on since there is no battery or magnetic strip to erase.
A Google search leads to a lot of irrelevant information about resetting contacts and the like, but not so much about the actusl electronic rejection.

I read that PS3, PSP, And PS Vita Will Stop Accepting Payments In Europe Through Card And PayPal From January 1, 2021. I haven't purchased directly off the PS3, PSP, or Vita in a while, but can we not still use the cash already in our PSN wallet to purchase off the older consoles?

That is an unconfirmed rumour at this point but is most likely false so take it with a bucketful of salt until Sony either confirms or denies it.

Who cares that PS3, PSP, and PS Vita stopped accepting payments in Europe through cards and PayPal from January 1, 2021. These consoles don't bring money to Sony; what good are they then? Don't be ridiculous. Sony won't budget for a dead product played by 2 and a half people. Let's be realistic. In fact, as I said before, to do something worthwhile, you need to have at least a small but target audience. And here we only have a couple thousand who want the product. So that's a reason to close your gaming merchant accounts if you have Sony stock on them
