<p> I like Beorn in The Lord of the Rings. Although <a href="https://www.thetolkienforum.com/wiki/Beorn">Beorn</a> says in the movie that he is the last of the Beornings left, according to the book, although he died before the War of the Ring, he had a son, Grimbeorn, who took over his household and duties as leader of the Beornings. Beorn was big and powerful but respected all life forms except orcs. At night he roamed the forests and mountains in the guise of a bear. He was wise, mysterious, and powerful, possessing incredible strength and fortitude. He was relatively decent, as he offered Thorin and his company shelter in his house for a while, but he was also vengeful. When Thorin was mortally wounded, he lunged at the orcs, killing many of them, including the leader of the Bulg.<br></p>
