<p>The impeachment process of Don in the US Senate began on January 16, 2020 and continues.<br>This is the result of the impeachment of President Trump by the US House of Representatives on December 18, 2019 after an investigation phase that lasted from September to November 2019. The Chamber adopted two articles of impeachment, accusing him of abuse of power and obstruction of action. Congress.<br><br>According to paragraph 6 of section 3 of Article I of the US Constitution, "the consent of two-thirds of the members present" is required to condemn President Trump and remove him from office.
