Category: Tutorial
Learn state-of-the-art methods and practices for planning and estimating Agile projects. The real-world practices presented in this course are based upon evolved concepts and support both basic Scrum projects and Agile at scale-and they have been proven on the ground through extensive use by Construx's clients. Effectively plan and estimate your projects in days instead of weeks, and confidently forecast project completions with accuracy.

If you're on the Scrum team

After you complete this course, you'll be able to use various techniques to:

Refine the near-term backlog
Estimate sprint stories and make sure everybody sees the story the same way
Plan a sprint, including detailed design and coordination of action
Coordinate the day-to-day action for the team

If you're on the project leadership team

After you complete this course, you'll be able to use various techniques to:

Establish a vision for the project
Estimate the size of the entire backlog
Decide how much to budget for the project
Plan and track a release (release timing, plus what to share with customers)

Who Is This Course For?
As you can see in the course's outline below, this course features content specifically crafted for different audiences. The "All Agile: Scrum Team-Focused" modules are, obviously, designed for Scrum team members, including Dev, Test, QA, BA, Ops, and UI. This course helps Scrum team members answer the following questions: "What is in this sprint? What is your sprint plan? How do you coordinate among yourselves?"

The "Influenced by Agile: Leadership Team-Focused" modules are for project leaders, including Product Owners, Project Managers, Program Managers, Project Leads, and Engineering Managers. These leaders will learn to answer questions like these: "How big is this project? How long will it be, and how much will it cost? What can we tell customers that they can have and when?" Scrum Masters are in a unique position because they work on the process, not the product. Everything in this course will help them answer the question, "How is planning and estimation done on Agile projects?"
