Good morning all, new to the world of CNC and this is my first post here. I’m looking for some help. I’ve been running my xxl just fine on an older laptop. I started having issues mostly because the laptop is ancient. I broke down and bought a dedicated desktop computer. I went online and downloaded the latest version of Carbide Create and Motion.

It runs so much smoother and I was pretty excited to get my projects going again. Here’s the problem: I’m using the same files that run flawlessly on my laptop but they are giving me issues on the new PC. I get my zeros all set and when I go to run the program it takes the z axis all the way up and then when it comes down it plunges into the work piece and tries to go all the way through it, regardless of the parameters I have set up. I plug the laptop back into it, works fine on the old software. Am I missing something? Anyone else have any issues with the latest upgrade? ANY help would be VERY much appreciated!
